About Polo

Meet Polo, a remarkable young boxer who has come a long way. Just two weeks ago, this sweet boy was found at a Connecticut shelter, malnourished and scared, bearing the marks of neglect. He hadn’t even turned one yet. Today, Polo is learning what safety and love feel like. He has gained weight, his fur is starting to grow back, and he’s beginning to trust those around him. Polo is still a bit insecure, which is totally understandable given his past, but he's growing bravely day by day. He’s making good progress with crate training and is discovering the joy of being a dog. He would thrive in a home with older children (12+) and might benefit from the calm companionship of a gentle female dog. A fenced yard would be perfect, letting him enjoy the outdoors safely. A work-from-home family would be ideal, as Polo loves company and isn’t keen on being left alone for too long. He is vaccinated, free of parasites, and will be neutered soon as he gains some more weight. Most importantly, Polo is ready to grow up in a loving home, and that’s a beautiful thing.
