Sky was surrendered to a high-kill shelter in Louisiana, arriving in such an emaciated state that it was hard to believe she was pregnant. Just days later, she gave birth to two puppies, but only one little boy survived. Sky and her surviving pup, Ridge, entered a foster home to heal and experience the love they deserved. Now, Sky is a big, healthy girl who might sound intimidating with her vocalizations, but don’t be fooled. She often makes the sweetest sounds when she’s happy or excited, and her barks soften once she’s receiving affection. This low-energy girl enjoys lounging around the house and being by her humans' side. She adores snuggling, gets along well with children, and even enjoys the company of cats.
