Meet Roland, a 1-year-old Tibetan Spaniel with a sweet spirit, a wagging tail, and an adorable little head tilt. Though he may be a bit timid at first, each day in his foster home helps build his confidence. Roland enjoys gentle pets, head scratches, and being picked up. As he grows more comfortable, he shows his developing trust through tail wags, eye contact, and gentle approaches to his foster's hand. There's a wonderfully silly side to him as well! Roland loves rolling on his back in the yard and can slide across the grass with ease. Mealtime and relaxing on a shady patio are also among his favorite activities. Roland gets along with dogs of all sizes and has comfortably shared space with cats. While he hasn't met children yet, a calm home would be ideal given that sudden movements and loud noises can startle him. He’s making impressive strides in potty training, keeping his crate clean and barking when he needs to go outside. Although he’s still adjusting to pottying on grass, he benefits from frequent opportunities and a consistent routine. While he may bark in his crate, he settles down once his needs are met. Leash walking is still a work in progress for Roland. He’s gaining confidence in a secure, fenced yard but isn’t quite ready for neighborhood walks just yet.
