Nilla WA’s journey began just eight miles from the Mexico border, where this tiny senior Chihuahua was found wandering the streets alongside another Chihuahua. Despite their attempts to avoid capture, it took animal control weeks to safely bring them off the streets. For such a small white dog, Nilla showed remarkable survival instincts. Now that she’s safe, Nilla is revealing a sweet personality. She’s affectionate, enjoys belly rubs, and gets along well with other dogs. While we’re still uncovering the finer details of her temperament, it’s clear that she craves love and attention. The companion she was rescued with has found a home, and now it’s Nilla’s turn to shine. We can only wonder what her life was like prior to rescue, but she doesn’t need to dwell on the past. Nilla is ready for her next chapter, filled with cozy couch naps, gentle supervision of meal times, and plenty of warm blankets to snuggle in. She’s currently fostered in Bryan, Texas.
