About Gemma

Meet Gemma, a one-year-old tabby with striking markings and beautiful golden eyes. She arrived with her five kittens—Pebbles, Opal, Flint, Mica, and Slate—after being found living in a quarry in Waterbury. Now that her little ones have found homes, it’s her turn to shine. Gemma is a bit shy and cautious around people, which is understandable given her past. We think she might have once belonged to someone, as she’s not completely feral; it seems she was left to fend for herself and raise her babies alone. While she may need some time to come out of her shell, we see her as a diamond in the rough. With a little patience, Gemma will learn to trust and show her affectionate side. She isn’t the type to leap into your lap right away, but with a supportive family that allows her to adjust at her own pace, she can become the loving companion she deserves. Gemma’s adoption fee is $225. She is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you’re interested in providing a forever home for this gentle girl, please fill out an application. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
