Meet Tillie! This playful young lady weighs 35 pounds and is around 2.5 years old. She arrived at a rural SC shelter in rough shape with her puppy, but thankfully, Halfway There Rescue stepped in to help them both. While her puppy has found a forever home, it’s now Tillie's turn to discover her own. Since joining her foster family a month ago, Tillie has flourished—gaining weight and regrowing her shiny coat. She adores playing fetch, tug-o-war, and chewing on bones. When it’s walk time, she might feel shy, but the excitement of sniffing new surroundings has her dancing in circles when the leash comes out. An expert cuddler, Tillie will lean into you, urging for kisses and pets. She enjoys lounging on the couch, resting her head on your lap. Tillie is house trained and crate trained, and she knows commands like sit, down, and shake. While she enjoys playing with selected dogs, she thrives best in a home as the only pet. She’s spent time around a 4-year-old and did well, but would prefer a home with older kids who respect her space. Tillie is ready to fill your home with love and companionship.
