Sadie is a smart and affectionate Australian Cattle Dog in search of a new home. Currently, she's in a foster setting that will soon need to relocate due to equestrian season. It's important for her to find a permanent place, so she doesn’t have to return to the shelter. Sadie thrives on learning and is motivated by treats. She knows commands such as sit, down, and roll over, and she’s housebroken and crate trained. While she has a lot of energy, she also enjoys her downtime as a couch potato. When meeting new people, Sadie prefers a slow introduction. Treats can help break the ice, allowing her to warm up at her own pace. She's had success in playgroups with other dogs, although she may correct overly excitable canines. Given her previous nips during introductions, it’s ideal for her to be in an adult-only home or with older children who know how to interact appropriately with pups. Sadie's ideal adopter will understand the needs of herding breeds and appreciate her intelligence and unique traits. Based in Bradenton, FL, she’s looking for a foster or a foster-to-adopt situation.
