Meet Hazel! This charming 5-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix comes with a happy-go-lucky nature and an abundance of love to share. Hazel was found emaciated and wandering an apartment complex, but thanks to the dedication of her foster family, she is gaining weight and is now ready to find her forever home. Confident and social, Hazel adores meeting new people and thinks everyone has the potential to be her new best friend. She's made excellent strides with house training, doing particularly well on a consistent routine. Nighttime in her crate is peaceful without accidents, and she's cool with being left alone — no separation anxiety here! Currently living in an apartment, Hazel has mastered walking on a leash without pulling. She enjoys exploring her surroundings, though she occasionally likes to take a moment to graze during walks. They’re working on the "leave it" command, and she's making great progress. This little explorer also rides well in the car, safely secured in her harness. Hazel thrives around other dogs, enjoying playtime with both larger and smaller companions. While she can be a bit enthusiastic with small dogs, she means well. Good news for cat lovers: Hazel loves cats and shows no aggression towards them. She also interacts well with children, though her puppy exuberance can lead to some mouthy moments as she learns proper play behavior.
