Peppa is a charming Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, around 5 years old, and she’s ready to find her forever home. She is fully vaccinated and has undergone heartworm testing, which came back negative. Peppa is scheduled to be spayed and have dental work completed in early October, shortly after which she will be available for adoption. Peppa has a friendly demeanor and seems to enjoy meeting new people. However, she's an alpha dog and exhibits food aggression toward other dogs, so she’s crated during meals at the rescue. Despite this, she shows no food aggression towards humans. Given her strong personality, any potential adopters with dogs should be prepared for an evaluation of their interactions. This tiny escape artist needs a secure yard; a physical fence is preferred, but an invisible fence can work too, as she adjusts well to it. She’s quite sensitive, evident from her reaction to vaccinations.
