About Maverick

Meet Maverick! This playful little Dachshund is full of life and energy. He loves to wrestle with his foster brothers and has mastered the art of getting zoomies several times a day. Though still young at five months, he’s already a charming red brindle who thinks he’s bigger than his current weight of around seven pounds. Maverick is making progress with house training, but it’s a work in progress as he enjoys playing more than sitting still. He's also learning to walk on a harness and leash, joining his foster family for nightly strolls. While he gets along well with other dogs and is good with kids, he will need to be tested around larger dogs and cats. A physically fenced yard is a must for this little explorer, as he can be somewhat shy when meeting new people but loves to hunt and play in a safe space. He's neutered, vaccinated, and has some special needs, which will be taken care of through his adoption fee. Maverick is looking forward to finding a loving home where he can thrive and play with his new family. Make him a part of your life!
