About Winter

Winter is ready for her forever home! Winter came to us after being left near a busy highway, and when she first arrived, she was scared and withdrawn. With some time and patience, one of our officers began spending mornings with her, simply sitting quietly, sharing breakfast. It wasn’t long before they moved outdoors to the play yard, where Winter began to play ball and meet new friends. Gradually, she realized that people could be safe. Now, that once timid pup has transformed into a goofy, ball-loving social butterfly who enjoys being around her humans. While she does well with other dogs given proper introductions, Winter would thrive best in a home with older, more mature kids, as younger ones may be a bit too energetic for her. Winter is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and heartworm negative. She’s done the hard part of learning to trust again, and now she just needs the right person to choose her.
