Meet Agatha, a gentle German Shepherd mix with a loving spirit. Weighing about 45 pounds, this calm and affectionate 2-3 year old is a pleasure to be around. Agatha has many wonderful traits: she walks quietly on a leash, stays close by your side, and exits her crate with grace. Her polite demeanor extends to other dogs; she met numerous pups on her first day and handled it like a pro. She's also gentle with veterinary staff. While Agatha hasn't spent much time around children yet, her curiosity about cats suggests it may be best for her to find a home without them for the time being. Her journey began when she was found abandoned in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, looking lost and searching for someone. After three rainy days of contemplation, she was brought to safety by the rescue. Although she tested positive for heartworm, her treatment has already started, and Upshot Dog Rescue will cover her care throughout the process.
