Ruby is a lovely Beagle girl around 6 years old and weighing 29 pounds. She was surrendered when her family moved and couldn't take her along. Understandably, the shelter environment was tough for her after being in a home, but she's now safe in a foster home in the Memphis area. Fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, Ruby tested negative for heartworms and is on a heartworm and flea prevention regimen. Her foster dad describes her as one of the sweetest dogs he's ever met, with a loving disposition to match. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, rides great in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and is housebroken. What more could you want? While she enjoys the company of other dogs, Ruby would be just as happy as the only pet, soaking up your love and attention. True to her Beagle nature, she loves to sniff and explore, so a securely fenced yard is essential for her exploring adventures. An apartment wouldn't suit her, as she needs a yard to enjoy her natural instincts safely.
