About Lucy

Lucy’s life turned upside down in an instant. This female American Bulldog mix was discovered living under a trailer scheduled for demolition, alongside her four tiny puppies. Sadly, three of them had already passed, and despite urgent care, Lucy's last little one could not survive either. When found, Lucy was devastated, lying beside her puppies. She was brought to the VHA, but without a place to go, her future seemed uncertain. Though we’re usually at capacity, we made space for Lucy that night, knowing she needed a safe haven. Right now, Lucy feels overwhelmed and lost, searching for her babies. She needs a calm and loving foster home where she can find comfort again. Just a soft place to rest, and a gentle hand to reassure her. With patience and love, Lucy can start to heal and understand she is safe now.
