About Marina
Marina is a delightful dog who's ready to change her luck this fall. Currently at Heartland Animal Shelter after a stint in foster care, she has had some unexpected twists in her journey. Adopted twice this September, she was returned both times due to circumstances beyond her control—one adopter had an allergic reaction, and the other faced a family emergency. Despite the ups and downs, Marina has been described as "perfect" and possesses a warm, lovable personality that draws everyone in. At just 2 years old, she combines youthful energy with an old-soul calm. Marina cherishes human affection, eagerly turning around for some gentle scritches. She enjoys lounging around with other dogs, exhibiting a laid-back attitude while still appreciating a good romp in the park. Walks with Marina are a joy; she walks beautifully on a leash, making every outing pleasant. Marina is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment that Heartland will cover until she's heartworm negative. This is a common, treatable condition; once cured, she can lead a normal, happy life. If you're looking for a gentle soul to join your life, consider Marina. She's ready for a loving forever home, where she can be the comforting presence for someone special. What are you waiting for?
