About Willa

Meet Willa! Willa was adopted as a tiny puppy but returned after two years. Luckily, a shelter employee remembered her and stepped in to foster her when her time was almost up. We've embraced Willa’s second chance with open arms. This girl may weigh 75 lbs, but in her mind, she’s still that tiny puppy. Goofy and all limbs, she bounces around like she’s 12 pounds, whether she's jumping onto the couch, playing with friends, or trying to cuddle in your lap. Willa is all about joy. She adores everyone—adults, kids, even the tiniest toddlers. She doesn't mean to make herself a lap dog, but she often will without realizing her size could be overwhelming. Therefore, supervision is a must around very small children; she could inadvertently squash them! Willa also gets along well with both dogs and cats. Her playful energy pairs best with larger dogs who can keep up with her joyful attitude. Potty trained and working on kennel training, Willa is smart, active, and eager to be involved in family activities. She loves adventures, walks, and playtime, and after a day out, she’ll attempt to sit on you while you relax at home. Willa is currently undergoing heartworm treatment but should be ready for her forever home by early November. We hope she’ll spend Thanksgiving underneath the dinner table, patiently waiting for turkey scraps from her new family.
