About Darla

Meet Darla! This sweet little Chihuahua, around 2-3 years old and weighing 12 pounds, came to us as a stray from a challenging shelter environment. She struggled with the noise and stress there, and was in danger of euthanasia when we stepped in to help. Darla is a lovable companion who enjoys meeting new people, though she has her quirks. She adores a good ear scratch and will lean into you for all the affection you can give. Darla is comfortable with small dogs, as she prefers their company over larger dogs, and she definitely loves cats—but maybe a bit too much, as she finds them too fun to chase. Because of this, we are looking for a home without cats. Due to her timid nature, a home with no children under 15 would be best, though visiting little ones are fine if Darla has a cozy crate to retreat to. She is fully potty trained and embodies the classic Chihuahua temperament. A fenced yard is a must, as she may take off if startled.
