About Carlo

Meet Carlo! Carlo is a playful and wonderfully sweet kitten with a knack for snuggling. He was born in early May 2026 on the streets of Salinas, but an artist couple rescued him when animal control misidentified him as "feral." They quickly learned that Carlo is anything but feral, evidenced by his big, happy purrs! When he's not busy exploring, Carlo loves curling up on laps, riding around on shoulders, and rubbing noses with his favorite humans. He's a playful character who finds wrestling with shoes even more entertaining when they’re still being worn. Talkative but not overly chatty, he becomes quite vocal at mealtime. His curiosity leads him to investigate new hiding spots and turn everyday items into playthings. Carlo enjoys the company of his sister, Keira, and they share an energetic play style, filled with acrobatic leaps and flips. Although they don't have to be adopted together, they would thrive as a pair. Given that they are still acclimating to home life, both Carlo and Keira may be shy around small children or loud teenagers. While Carlo would do best with another tolerant and playful cat if not adopted with Keira, his experience with dogs is still a mystery. Carlo is currently at the AFRP Adoption Center in Pacific Grove, CA, ready to find his forever home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
