About Teddy
Teddy is a 3-year-old Smooth Coat Collie and German Shepherd mix who has come a long way since arriving at the shelter. Initially, he was very scared and preferred to keep his distance from people. Thanks to the shelter's Shy Dog Program, Teddy has made tremendous progress and is learning that humans aren't as intimidating as he once thought. Now, Teddy enjoys attention and petting from the volunteers he knows. He might still be a bit shy in new situations or around unfamiliar faces, but once he feels comfortable, he happily leans in for affection. Teddy walks nicely on a leash and enjoys exploring with his human companions. He also displays playful behavior with other dogs and gives off friendly vibes through the fence. Surrendered by his previous owners due to financial issues, he has spent most of his time outdoors. Teddy is now looking for an upgrade and would much prefer to be included in family life as an indoor dog, with supervised outdoor time. Being a smart boy, he thrives with training and benefits from enrichment activities and puzzle toys. He'll need a secure yard and a family committed to building his confidence. In return, you'll find a loyal companion ready to blossom into a wonderful friend. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
