Toby is a delightful 3.5-month-old male Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love. Currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas, he was rescued from a hoarding situation and is thriving. Weighing around 14 pounds, he’s still growing and will need a warm family to guide him through puppyhood. Toby adores other dogs and gets along famously with everyone in his foster home, especially a senior female dog he loves to snuggle with. He enjoys playtime with other pets and would flourish in a home with a friendly canine companion. The joys of puppyhood are evident in Toby’s playful spirit; he’s always up for chasing toys or exploring the yard. Once he’s had his fun, you’ll find him happily napping. Toby is mostly potty trained, but like any puppy, he will need continued training to encourage good habits. He’s also spent time in a crate and is learning positive routines. He currently lives with a 12-year-old child and has done wonderfully. While enthusiastic and a bit mischievous, he’s eager to learn appropriate manners through positive reinforcement. This little guy isn't ready to be left alone for long stretches—ideally no more than four hours—to ensure he continues to thrive.
