About Chance

Meet Chance! 🐾 Chance is a charming 2-year-old mixed breed boy bursting with personality. He enjoys spending time with people, play dates with fellow dogs, and running around like a goofball. Great on a leash, he listens well, is house trained, and even behaves nicely in the car. Chance has been tested with both dogs and cats, and he gets along well with both. However, he tends to play rough, so if there's another dog in the home, they should be of a similar size. It's worth noting that Chance has had a past incident with a smaller dog during a stressful moment, so prospective adopters should keep this in mind. His friendliness extends to people of all ages, though a home without young children is recommended. While he can be around small kids, living with them might not be the best fit. Chance does have areas where he will need support. He’d benefit from ongoing training to improve his recall and should stay leashed until he does. He's also dealt with some anxiety, which might require medication as he transitions to a new environment. He's made significant progress with his kennel behavior while on Trazodone. Standard crates are not an option for him, as he has a knack for breaking out. He can also be quite nippy during baths or when handled with water, requiring sedation for grooming. Chance is a goofy and loving boy eager to find a family that can provide structure, patience, exercise, and plenty of play opportunities. ❤️ Ready to make Chance a part of your life?
