About Willa

Meet Willa! Willa was adopted from the shelter as a tiny puppy, only to be returned two years later. Luckily, one of the shelter employees remembered her and offered to foster her when her time was up. We love a comeback kid, and Willa truly deserved a second chance. Now, onto Willa herself. Despite weighing 75 pounds, she thinks she’s still that little puppy. She’s goofy, floppy, and full of limbs, whether she’s bounding over the couch or trying to climb into your lap. To her, fitting on your lap or laying on top of you is totally reasonable. She absolutely radiates joy and is a people person through and through, loving everyone she meets—including kids and other pets. Because she’s unaware of her own size, close supervision around very small children is best, as she might unintentionally squish them. Willa is great with dogs and cats and definitely has plenty of playful puppy energy, so larger canine friends may be the best fit. She’s potty trained, getting the hang of kennel training, and eager to be included in all family activities. Her ideal home will provide lots of exercise and companionship, joining her in adventures and quiet moments alike. Willa is currently undergoing heartworm treatment but is expected to be ready for her forever home in early November. We hope she can celebrate Thanksgiving with her family, eagerly waiting for treats beneath the table. Willa is available for adoption nationwide, with a $600 fee that covers transportation.
