This beautiful Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix has an incredible capacity for affection. After undergoing a major transformation, including the amputation of her left hind leg due to severe injuries, Holly proudly lives as a tripod. She’s building strength and confidence every day, having settled beautifully into her foster home. Holly is an absolute sweetheart. Described as easy, sweet, and calm, she adores cuddles, belly rubs, and short walks. Most importantly, she simply wants to be close to her favorite people. Well-mannered at home, Holly is house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and can be left alone without causing trouble. One foster even called her a "perfect angel" as she tends to stay close by and relaxes calmly on the couch. Though she may take a bit of time to warm up to new people, once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through. Her friendly demeanor typically includes a wagging tail and eager kisses. Holly has also shown that she enjoys the company of other dogs, although thoughtful introductions and supervision are essential. As a tripod, she benefits from good traction, such as rugs or mats, and may need some help getting into a car, though she can navigate stairs carefully. Her need for support while building strength is crucial, so families should be prepared to assist her.
