About Slug
Meet Slug, the charming orange creamsicle boy who's still getting comfortable with indoor life. At about 2.5 years old, he's been through quite a journey, originally living under a house with other cats before finding his way to Alley Cat Project. While he's currently the only cat in his foster home, he would likely thrive with another feline friend or two. Upon his arrival, Slug was very timid, spending two weeks nestled behind the toilet — earning him his endearing name. However, he’s come a long way. Once he gets to know you, Slug shows his affectionate side and enjoys relaxing on the couch or snuggling in bed. He loves cheek scratches and is becoming more playful with wand toys and catnip toys he can kick. You'll need to be patient while he adjusts to the sounds and smells of your home. Loud noises, quick movements, and unfamiliar faces can startle him, so a calm environment is key. Though Slug has had no known experiences with dogs or children, he needs a gentle guide to help him continue building trust. If you're up for the rewarding challenge of earning a cat’s affection, Slug could be the perfect feline companion for you. Make sure your home is quiet and calm, as he seeks a cozy indoor environment where he can feel secure and loved. Ready to see if you can win over Slug's heart? Start the adoption process today!
