Once we removed the painful mats, Heidi began to shine. She started eating, resting, and regained nearly 30% of her body weight. Perhaps most importantly, she learned to enjoy cuddling. These days, she loves curling up on laps, giving tiny kisses and soaking up affection. At night, while she prefers a crate, she often grumbles for a spot in bed—a testament to her newfound appreciation for comfort. Heidi is house-trained and has settled wonderfully into her foster home, getting along well with other dogs, though she sometimes craves attention just for herself.
