About Whiskey
Meet Whiskey, a 2-year-old neutered male who might just be the purebred Irish Wolfhound you’ve been looking for. Weighing in at 110 lbs, he’s a gentle giant currently located in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Whiskey is a great companion with other dogs and is housebroken, although he will counter surf if left unsupervised. Whiskey has had a tough past, making him wary of men and new environments. It takes him time to feel secure, particularly around women, and he needs a patient and breed-experienced adopter who understands his specific needs. A secure six-foot fence is a must, as he has a tendency to bolt when startled by loud noises. His ideal home would be pet-free, as he is not suitable for families with children due to his large size. After being with us for about two months, we're finally confident he’s ready to find a permanent home where he can thrive. He can even use a dog door, and when he's scared, he often seeks refuge underneath furniture. If you have the space and experience to keep Whiskey safe and allow him to grow, this gentle boy could be your perfect match. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
