Nixie is a 5.5-month-old female Retriever mix, weighing in at about 27 lbs. Currently located in South Texas, she’ll be transported to her new home once adopted. Nixie the Pixie may be a bit shy at first, but she has a heart full of love waiting to be shared. She enjoyed her first foster home with her sister, where they were playful and curious one moment, and snuggly the next. Growing up with cats, Nixie gets along well with them and enjoys the company of children too. This little cutie loves balls, squeaky toys, and anything safe to chew on. Now in her new foster home, Nixie has a large backyard to run and play with her new doggy siblings. With her bicolored fur that looks black but reveals a reddish-brown hue in sunlight, she also displays a dash of white on her tiny paws. Nixie is crate trained and potty trained, doing great at alerting when it’s time to go outside. Rescued as a stray, she deserves a loving forever home.
