Tafari is a young, lively cat discovering the joys of human companionship. Arriving at Emerald City Pet Rescue as a young mother with three tiny kittens, she is now ready to embrace her own identity. Initially cautious around new people, Tafari takes a moment to assess her surroundings but quickly warms up to friends. She’s learned that affection can be expressed through sweet head bumps and appreciates cuddle sessions while still valuing her independence. With plenty of energy, Tafari thrives on interactive play. She loves tunnels, feather toys, and spinning ball towers, often having her evening zoomies before bedtime. During the day, you can find her birdwatching or soaking up sunlight from an open window. Her tiny, chirpy meow reflects her playful nature as she vocalizes her thoughts. As a young cat still learning her manners, she can get overly excited at times and needs alternatives for scratching. It’s important to provide her with proper scratching posts and a safe retreat to help her feel secure. Tafari would thrive in a patient home that allows her to build confidence with gentle encouragement, plenty of playtime, and enriching activities. While she may prefer to be the only cat, she has not shown interest in dog companions either. Currently working to gain a healthier weight, she enjoys treats like Churu and small crunchy bites.
