About Sugar and Johnny
Meet Sugar and Johnny! Rescued from an overcrowded shelter where their lives were in danger, these two sweet Shih Tzus are adapting remarkably well in their foster home. Johnny, around 6 years old, and his younger friend Sugar, at 3, are so closely bonded that we hope to find them a loving home together. These two are the ultimate companions. Within hours of arrival, they were snuggling in laps, soaking up all the affection they could get! They enjoy playing fetch with squeaky toys, with Johnny always ready for a game while Sugar has a blast squeaking her toys. After some fun and a good walk, they love curling up together for a cozy nap, often snoring adorably during their slumbers. They're crate trained for nighttime and are learning to use pee pads when they're left alone and can’t hold it. Johnny and Sugar form strong connections with their humans, so they would thrive in a home where they could be the center of attention, ideally without other dogs. Both sweethearts are vaccinated, microchipped, and fixed. Sugar recently had a small growth removed from above her eye, but it was benign. Their combined adoption fee is $600, which helps cover the medical costs associated with preparing them for adoption.
