Ion is a 9-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who has faced quite a journey in life. He has never truly known the comfort of a permanent home and yard. Traveling from Illinois to Wyoming with his owner and canine companion Bear, they've found themselves in various places, including streets and shelters. Now, both Ion and Bear are on the lookout for a forever home where they can have a cozy bed, a loving family, and regular meals. Ion is housetrained and gets along well with kids. While he's generally okay with most dogs, he prefers to set boundaries, and he's selective about cats. He knows basic commands and even some sign language! He walks well on a leash and is doing great at the shelter, steadily gaining weight after overcoming his past challenges.
