About Rico

Meet Rico. Rico is an eight-year-old Pit Bull Terrier bursting with superhero energy. He's that dog who strides into any room like he’s about to save the day, and his enthusiasm is infectious. This loyal companion has a delightful personality and is always eager to join in on whatever his humans are doing. Rico is extremely intelligent and picks up commands and routines quickly, making him a joy to train. Boasting a full set of skills, Rico is fully house-trained and knows commands like sit, lay down, stay, shake, and speak. He’s always up for learning more tricks, especially if some tasty treats are involved. What makes Rico truly special is the bond he forms with his people. He thrives on companionship, following you around and welcoming you with all the excitement of a long-lost friend, even after just stepping away for a short time. He's more than just a sweet face; he's the ultimate cuddle buddy, whether snuggled up in bed or lying by your feet during movie night. Rico is fantastic with kids. Gentle and patient, he handles the hustle and bustle of a busy family with grace and positively lights up when he’s at the center of it all. However, Rico may be best as the only pet in a household. He’s still learning how to interact with other animals, so an experienced owner could help him become more comfortable in these situations. With a little time and guidance, Rico has all the potential to thrive in a new environment. At eight years old, he’s settled into his best self: devoted, smart, and ready to share his affection with a new family. Rico's previous owner had to move and couldn't take him along, and we are hoping to find him a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. This is your chance to welcome a wonderful companion into your life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
