Meet Keiko. At just two years old, this beautiful Cane Corso has a world of energy and personality waiting to shine. Keiko, a young female, is big, strong, and playful, but she’s also still learning the ropes and hasn’t had the training she needs. While she hasn’t shown any aggression toward people or animals, her boundless enthusiasm can make her a handful. When she gets excited, she can jump and play hard, making it tough to manage her strength. That’s why she needs someone experienced. Cane Corsos like Keiko are powerful working and guardian dogs. They require consistent training, socialization, exercise, and mental stimulation, and Keiko has yet to receive enough of these crucial opportunities. Most days, she spends time crated indoors or in an outdoor enclosure, missing out on the vital interactions and activities that keep her happy and healthy. There’s a fun, social side to Keiko, too. She has successfully befriended another dog and enjoys spending quality time with her person, often wanting to be by their side. However, any future canine friends will require proper introductions, given her limited experience with other animals. Keiko needs a home with structure and boundaries. She will be spayed before adoption, and we’re looking for an adopter who appreciates the Cane Corso breed for companionship. Experience with large or guardian breeds is strongly preferred, as her new handler must be physically capable and committed to continuing her training. At two years old, Keiko has missed some essential socialization and training, and her next person needs to be ready to invest time and effort into her development.
