About Toro

Meet Toro, an intelligent and gentle 18-month-old German Shepherd. Despite his age, he’s calm and curious, displaying no aggression. He’s learning to trust and enjoys going out with his foster dad, meeting new people and other dogs. Playing with his canine companions is one of his favorite pastimes. Toro is food motivated, which makes training easier. He’s currently picking up basic commands but needs to learn that counter surfing isn’t allowed, as he tends to overindulge. While being taught to walk on a leash, he gets excited, occasionally sticking close to your hip halfway through. His foster dad has been rewarding this behavior with treats. This smart pup has figured out how to escape his crate and even unlock doors and fence gates, opting to let himself back into the house rather than jumping over. Although he has a preference for the floor over furniture, he is sociable and enjoys being around other pets. Toro’s adoption fee is $300, which covers his neuter, microchip, and vaccinations until the adoption.
