Although his weight isn't listed yet, he’s steadily learning about house training and crate etiquette, proving to be an intelligent and eager learner.
About Porter
Porter may be a "little" puppy now, but he's got a big personality, bouncing with energy and affection. As he grows, he’s expected to turn into a substantial and spirited boy. He's playful, rambunctious, and always up for fun, yet he knows how to cuddle up after an active play session. He is happiest when snuggled up with his people on the couch, so a home that allows pets on the furniture would be perfect for him. Porter thrives alongside his foster family's large dog, even joining in on agility course fun. He shares his space with cats, wishing to befriend them, and while he’s still learning about personal boundaries, he could coexist with confident cats. However, he might be too enthusiastic for senior or timid felines. Fetch is one of his favorite games! A fenced yard would allow him to dash and play; alternatively, an active owner with a dog-friendly lifestyle could adapt well to apartment living. For now, his outings are limited until he’s fully vaccinated, but he’s making strides with his leash skills. Porter's house and crate training is impressive. He’s had a few puppy accidents but is becoming consistent about letting his foster family know when he needs to go outside. He keeps his crate clean, settles well, and sleeps all night without issues. No destructive behavior has been noted in his crate. This little brainiac is eager to learn! He quickly mastered his name and commands like "sit," and he's working on "place" and "settle" next. With ongoing training, lots of exercise, and appropriate outlets for his puppy energy, Porter has the potential to grow into a wonderful companion. He hasn’t been around kids yet, so his fit with young children is still uncertain. He doesn’t display mouthy behavior, which is a good sign, but his future size and energy should be considered.
