About Abbey
Meet Abbey, a lovely-natured girl, around 5 years old and weighing approximately 67 lbs. She joined Mostly Mutts when she needed a new home and has since charmed everyone with her gentle and loving personality. Abbey is a friendly and affectionate Labrador Retriever mix. While she hasn't shown much interest in playing with other dogs yet, she's also not aggressive, which means she could fit well in a home with a friendly dog. Abbey hasn't met kids yet, so a meet-and-greet is essential, especially with toddlers who might accidentally bump her. Her calm demeanor shines through in everything she does, whether it’s enjoying a bath or simply relaxing in her cozy dog bed. Abbey is currently enrolled in Mostly Mutts University, where she’s already mastered commands like 'sit' and 'come' and walks nicely on a leash. She has shown good manners, both in her crate and during her time with volunteers. Abbey loves treats and takes them gently—a plus for training! While she might drool a bit during car rides, she's calm and just needs practice. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, but this doesn't slow her down. No treatment is needed beyond maintaining a healthy weight with a good joint supplement. If you're ready to welcome a wonderful companion into your life, Abbey is eager to meet you and start this journey together!
