About Wookie
Wookie, a resilient boy, faced a rough start before arriving at our shelter. Found in late August in dire condition, he was heavily matted, covered in wounds, and unwell. Initially, he struggled to trust anyone, but with time, he began to understand he was safe and cared for. Now, he’s healing beautifully, seeking out affection, and loving the comfort of his cozy bed. At around 9 years old, Wookie is a medium-sized, neutered male dog with a remarkable spirit. Being blind has made his journey a bit tougher, but he's showing remarkable growth and courage. He will need a family that understands senior dog care, especially due to his dry eye condition which requires daily eye drops and routine dental care. His long fur also means he’ll need regular grooming to prevent any future discomfort. Wookie is ready for a loving home that offers stability and kindness. To meet Wookie, visit us at 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and provide a valid ID.
