About Haven
Meet Haven, a lovely 1-year-old Pointer mix who has faced more than any young dog should. Rescued as a stray after an attack, she carries a bit of fear and shyness but is slowly learning that not all humans are unkind. With the right support, she’s starting to discover a world where she can feel safe. Haven is spayed and fully up to date on her vaccinations. She has healed beautifully from a previous leg wound and is now happy and house-trained. Training her is a breeze, as she is very food motivated and eager to learn. Currently, she is thriving in a nurturing foster home. What she needs most is patience. Haven's ideal adopter will understand that trust takes time. Instead of trying to “fix” her, she needs someone to offer safety and consistency as she adjusts to her new life. We are also carefully evaluating her interactions with other dogs, taking introductions slow to ensure she feels comfortable. Haven has already made it through the hardest parts. All she needs now is someone to show her the joys of a safe, loving home. Could that be you?
