About Hershey Batesville

Meet Hershey: a 13-week-old chocolate lab mix, estimated to weigh around 21 pounds. Abandoned on a road in Batesville, MS, he was rescued alongside his buddy Poppy and is now eager to find a loving home. Hershey is friendly, active, and adores people, getting along well with other dogs. He does show signs of food aggression, so for now, feeding him alone is best while we work on this behavior. Currently, Hershey stays in an outdoor kennel during the day and is brought inside at night for crate time. As a young pup, he’s still learning about house training and leash walking, so patience will be essential. Hershey would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run freely. He’s up to date on puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age-appropriate. This affectionate guy is ready to bring joy to your family! Currently located in Horn Lake, MS, he’s looking forward to his journey to Pennsylvania for potential forever families. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
