About Ryder

Meet Ryder, a spirited 1-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever ready to find his forever home. This large, energetic boy is not your average dog; his high energy level means he needs a dedicated owner who can provide training and mental engagement. Ryder can easily scale over a 6ft chain link fence, so a secure, tall fence is essential to keep him safe. He's not suited for apartment living and will thrive best in an active household. Ryder is still learning to trust and can be strong on a leash, so an adopter who can manage his energy and help him with basic training is important. He will require time and commitment for potty, crate, and leash training, along with proper socialization. While Ryder is a wonderful dog, he's better suited for a home with children aged 12 and up. He’ll do well with dog meets, but a test with cats is needed. He's currently in the shelter and very excited to meet you. Ready to make a lasting connection with Ryder?
