This clever boy knows several commands like sit, down, stay, and come. He enjoys car rides and outdoor adventures and has a medium energy level. Bear is house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. Be prepared for generous shedding, so regular brushing is essential. Note that chicken may trigger allergies for him, and he benefits from behavioral medication for anxiety. Evaluated through NC State's Veterinary Behavior Program, Bear's fear-based reactivity requires careful management. He has a history of nipping when scared and shows a need for an experienced adopter who can provide positive reinforcement and controlled introductions. Crates are not suitable for him, as they cause distress; short periods alone without confinement are fine.
