About John

Meet John. John is a male Dachshund mix who’s still discovering that people can be friends rather than foes. He’s a bit reserved around newcomers and needs extra time to settle in, but that’s perfectly okay. Good things often require patience. This little guy won't rush to greet you at the door on his first day. He thrives in calm settings where he can take his time and feel secure. Once John gets comfortable, his true personality starts to shine. A serene home with a gentle, understanding human would be ideal for him. John is looking for someone who can see the potential for love in him, even if he takes longer to show it. He’s got so much to offer; it just takes time to bring it out. All Wags and Whiskers pets, including John, go home fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. Many of our animals come from unknown backgrounds, so please be prepared for a long-term commitment of love and care. Ready to welcome a new friend into your life?
