About Drax
Meet Drax: the lovable big-hearted goofball who stands out as our longest resident at the rescue. This approximately 8-year-old American Cattle Dog mix, who has some traits of an American Bully, weighs in at 70 lbs and is located in Houston, Texas. Drax has patiently watched as others found their forever homes, and now, he deserves a family of his own for his golden years. Though Drax prefers to be the only pet, he behaves wonderfully around dogs in public. His charm shines through his enthusiastic tail wags and signature smile, and he's leveled out from the puppy chaos to offer calm companionship. Recently, he showcased his gentlemanly behavior at the park and in stores, where he walked perfectly on a leash and remained composed even in the face of barking dogs. Drax thrives on human companionship and enjoys being your one and only. He believes laps are meant for sitting and loves to keep you company, happy to lounge while you work or relax. Though he’s not fond of crates, with a little routine and patience, he can adjust to using one. The Underdog Connection includes a heavy-duty crate to help with this transition. Drax is ready to turn his long wait into a new chapter filled with love and loyalty. Are you the one to give him that forever home? Apply to adopt Drax today and change his life for the better.
