About Tank

Tank is a big-hearted, 3-year-old Pit Bull mix who is currently in foster care near Mason City and Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Iowa. Rescued from an owner surrender situation in Oklahoma, heโ€™s proving to be a loving, smart companion who thrives on affection. Tank loves to play with other dogs, splash around in water, and follow his human around the house, never wanting to miss out on the action. His playful spirit shines through, especially when heโ€™s pushing his favorite giant rock around with his nose, although it's been a bit rough on him, leading to some irritation that his foster is treating. House trained and crate trained, Tank is making great strides with leash manners and learning commands like 'sit' and 'stay.' He's highly motivated by treats, which makes training sessions enjoyable and productive. While he gets along well with dogs of all sizes, he does prefer space during mealtime and needs gentle reminders to be calm when excitement takes over. Tank is looking for a cat-free home where he can continue to blossom and be adored. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and will soon have his heartworm test results. If you're ready to welcome a loving companion into your home, consider giving Tank the forever family he deserves. Heโ€™s just waiting to bring joy to your life!
