Bacchus is a striking 2-year-old Livestock Guardian Dog with a blend of Anatolian Shepherd and St. Bernard in his lineage. His main role has been protecting prize-winning chickens, and he takes this job seriously. Though he's a gentle giant, he knows how to handle himself when it comes to threats like coyotes or raccoons. His protective nature extends to livestock, and he tends to be friendly with other pets, including cats. Living in comfort has made him well-mannered, as he’s both crate trained and house trained. While he enjoys the good life, he is looking for a family that understands his needs. Bacchus is a substantial dog, so a home without small children would be best. He has experience with other dogs and could benefit from a female companion, but since he was intact until recently, two males together might present challenges. Choose wisely for this lovely boy's future family.
