About Merida
Meet Merida, a brave girl from Jefferson County with a heart full of love. Although she may not know about archery or Scotland, her courage shines through in everything she does. Merida came to the shelter with a friend after being found lost, and while her friend was emaciated, Merida was a healthy weight at 43 lbs but understandably frightened of her surroundings. Now, she's ready to find her forever home. Merida can be a bit shy at first but once she warms up, you'll find her curled up next to you, dreaming of cookies and playtime. She's gentle by nature and loves to snuggle. A different dog would be welcomed; she's had friends in the past, and would love to see if there's a match for her in your home. While she hasn't met cats, she’s open to all new experiences. Merida knows she might need some time to adjust to family life and all the love that comes with it, but her resilient spirit tells her she can do it. This sweet girl is waiting for her chance to shine. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
