Meet Fancy, a sweet and shy three-year-old Shih Tzu. At just 8.9 pounds, she is on a journey to discover how wonderful life can be. Fancy is gentle and timid, so she'll need a little time and patience to feel comfortable. Every day in her foster home, she’s becoming braver and starting to show more of her delightful personality. Fancy is making significant strides in potty training, benefiting from a consistent schedule that helps her understand what’s expected of her. She’s starting to do her business mostly while out on walks, which is fantastic progress! Her future family should be ready to continue this routine and support her growth. While on walks, Fancy is improving on the leash but still gets anxious around unfamiliar faces or sudden noises. She needs someone who can offer reassurance and gentle guidance, allowing her to set the pace. At home, you’ll often find her perched on the back of the sofa, watching the world go by. She is gradually learning to seek affection and is ready to snuggle when invited. Fancy enjoys her meals and treats but prefers a little personal space while eating. If given distance, she happily relishes her food. Fancy's confidence is growing day by day, showing that new experiences don't have to be frightening.
