About Abby
Abby is a charming 5-year-old Beagle who weighs around 24 pounds. Surrendered by her previous owner, she carries a classic Beagle personality, full of curiosity and sweetness. Abby enjoys her walks but loves to follow her nose, so be prepared for a bit of pulling. She's food and treat motivated, which makes training easy; she knows commands like sit and shake. Some of Abby's favorite activities include sunbathing, car rides, and playing with squeaky toys. While she's housebroken and trained to use both pee pads and a crate, she can be a bit mischievous when it comes to trash diving if given the chance. Abby gets along well with children and is friendly with strangers. However, she's selective with cats, so it might depend on the individual feline. Her previous owner noted some separation anxiety, which is currently being managed with medication. A recent visit to the vet confirmed her good health, and she has no dental issues. While she's fine with baths, she can be a bit dramatic during nail trims. If you're interested in adopting Abby, please visit the Humane Society of Sandusky County to meet her. Theyβre open Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 1 PM to 3:30 PM. Begin your journey with Abby today!
