Banana is a loving 8-9 year old Akita who has settled well into shelter life after coming to us as a stray. Weighing 84 lbs, he's generally calm and gets along well with other dogs, although he tends to prefer companions of the opposite sex. Sadly, Banana has tested positive for heartworms, and while we have started his pre-treatment, he would thrive in a foster home during this process. A caring family would make a world of difference, keeping him comfortable while he heals. His sweet nature and easygoing disposition make him a joy to have around.
