About Susie
Meet Susie! Susie came into our care when her ownerโs health made it impossible for her to remain in the home. This independent lady prefers to bond with one special person and enjoys a calm, quiet life. She is looking for a kindred spirit who can appreciate her unique quirks and understand her body language. In her new home, Susie will want peace and quiet, alongside cozy spots to bask in sunbeams and watch the world go by without interruptions. While she appreciates affection, she doesnโt enjoy sitting on laps or being picked up. When she's feeling overwhelmed, she needs her space. However, at mealtime or when in a social mood, she'll let you know with a touch of chatter. To make Susie feel at ease, itโs essential to create a stress-free environment. Adding cat shelves or trees will help her feel confident and secure, giving her places to climb and survey her territory. Providing multiple litter boxes and maintaining good hygiene is crucial too. Susie has no known experience with other cats but may thrive as an only cat. She has lived with dogs before and could coexist with a respectful, cat-savvy dog in a properly set-up home. However, she would prefer a home without children, as past experiences have caused her stress. Visit our Adoption Center to meet Susie and see if she could be your new best friend!
