Denny is a unique mix of Labrador Retriever and Basenji, currently around 4 years old and residing in Wilmington, DE. His story began in Taiwan, where he was rescued from a bear trap. Thankfully, his injuries were mostly limited to malnutrition and dehydration, although he did lose two toes on his right front paw. Denny shows incredible resilience; despite his past, he remains affectionate and trusting towards people. He gets along well with dogs and cats but truly thrives around humans. Denny enjoys keeping his foster mom company, lying quietly beside her as she goes about her day. He is respectful around food and does not get upset if another dog wants to eat from his bowl. While he does not chase toys or swim, he is content with quiet companionship and requires minimal exercise. Denny is 100% house-trained, calm in various environments, and does well with children, though ideally, he should be with kids over five. He thrives in a loving home that includes him in family activities, not just limited to walks. Denny is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home.
